Local Partnerships

On September 5, 2005, Celebration Church began a relief effort to help the people of Greater New Orleans impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The current objectives are:

  • Revitalizing communities through home and neighborhood restoration
  • Providing family care and spiritual and emotional recovery
  • Extending Celebration’s ministry and revitalizing communities through the development of neighborhood community centers
  • Rebuilding the headquarters and worship center of Celebration Church

The cost to go on one of our teams is approximately $200. If interested, please contact Debbie Hawkins

Origins Church is a new church for those seeking a renewed approach to Christian spirituality and the teachings of Jesus. They are a missional church community specifically designed for urban professionals, young families and emerging artists seeking to live out His mission in the culture and context of the city. If you are interested in going as a group, contact Ken Morris.

Global Impact

Global Partnerships
      • Malawi - Malawi routinely ranks as one of the five poorest nations in the world. We have begun a partnership with Capital City Baptist Church in Lilongwe, Malawi and with African Leadership, Franklin in order to demonstrate the love of Jesus in practical and varied ways. The first initiative of this partnership is to resource the Kauma Orphan Support Initiative, also known as “Adziwa.” AIDS orphans and the families caring for them are provided decent housing and agricultural projects that give opportunities to earn a steady income. Another aspect of this initiative is the construction of a school, as over half the children of Malawi receive no formal education.
  • Southeast Asia
We are partnered with two initiatives that reach out to two Unreached, Unengaged People Groups (UUPG):
                                    1. “Boomyah” Island (name given for security reasons)              Jordan and Jody are serving among an UUPG called the “Boomyah” of Southeast Asia (approximately 4 million people). The Boomyah people observe tribal religion such as ancestor worship and black magic, with less than .05% being believers.  They teach ESL and share their lives with the people around them.
                                    2. “Sunset Beach” (name given for security reasons)                        “Joe and Joy” are national church planters who live at “Sunset Beach” among the “Cantik” people, an UUPG in Southeast Asia who are predominantly Muslim and very resistant to the Gospel. Our church, along with several other churches, has gained access to a village of the “Cantik” through humanitarian aid efforts. This coalition of churches and non-government organizations are sending a minimum of four teams a year to give “Joe and Joy” more credibility in the village where they continue to provide a witness for Christ.
  • Balkans - We partner with a church planting team serving among an Unreached People Group (UPG) in the Balkans. TPC’s first involvement came immediately following a regional conflict which left thousands homeless and in desperate need of humanitarian aid. Since then several TPC members have moved to this area for varying lengths of time and many Global Journey teams have gone. We continue to partner with the team that is reaching out to this traditionally Muslim people group.
  • Rome - Billy and Kelly Patterson serve as leaders for the Origins Rome team.  Former TPC members Alan and Tina Lyle are also on the team. In this strategic partnership, we support the Origins Rome team with various resources to help reach out to over 250,000 university students that live in Rome. A large number of those students are from countries throughout Northern Africa. We pray this will begin a church planting movement that will go far beyond Rome and into many of the UPG’s in Northern Africa.
  • Ukraine - Dr. Brian McMurray and Troy and Rhonda Madge help lead a partnership with ministries and churches in the Ukraine. TPC has had members reside in Vinnitsa, Ukraine, and we have developed long-term relationships with local churches, the medical community and orphanages. We continue to work with Ukrainian churches to help them take the love of Christ into orphanages and encourage adoption by local Ukrainian Christian families.
