The purpose of The People’s Church is to help transform
ordinary people into passionate followers of Jesus Christ.

We recognize that moving from ordinary to passionate is a process, a journey. We also recognize that every person is on a journey of some kind. Whatever journey you may be on, we want to invite you to take a spiritual journey with us.

Question: What does the journey look like at The People’s Church?

Answer: The journey begins with and flows out of our Sunday worship services. Corporate worship is essential to the journey. From there, we offer a series of four Discovery Classes.

DC 1 – Discovering The People’s Church Family

This one-session class will introduce you to our faith community - The People’s Church. You will discover our purpose, mission, values, beliefs, history, strategies and member expectations. You will also be introduced to the process of becoming a follower of Christ. This class is required for membership at The People’s Church but is also designed for the person who just wants to learn more about our faith community. DC 2 – Discovering Spiritual Maturity

This two-session class will give you a handle on the essential processes of Bible study, prayer, meditation, stewardship, discipleship and doing life in community. For more information about Discovery Class 2, contact Kyle Wall.

DC 3 – Discovering My Ministry within the Church

This three-session class will lead you to discover your SHAPE

S H A P E

Spiritual gifts (what am I gifted to do?)

Heart (what do I love to do?)

Abilities (what natural talents and skills do I have?)

Personality (where does my personality best suit me to serve?)

Experiences (what experiences have I had that God can use?)

Discovering your SHAPE will lead you to discover your primary ministry within the church. Serving within a ministry that fits your SHAPE will lead to God-blessed results and personal fulfillment. For more information on Discovery Class 3, contact Jamie Atkins.

DC 4 – Discovering My Life-Mission in the World

This two-session class will equip you to share your story of becoming a Christ follower. You will learn how to build bridges of friendship and how people become Christ followers.
